Art Battle 434 Toronto

Add some culture and fun to your weeknight life at Art Battle 434 Toronto, live competitive painting, on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in The Great Hall’s Main Hall.

Part interactive event, part social, part voters’ choice, part emerging artists’ market, Art Battle is a monthly painting competition with a real need for speed. It’s the brainchild of two Toronto-area creatives that began in The Great Hall seven years ago and has since become a modern artistic phenomenon, spreading from Queen Street West, across Canada and around the world.

All you have to do is get a ticket (online or at the door), grab a drink and watch the Art Battle action unfold. Easels are set up in the centre of the Main Hall, a stop clock is started, and the concentrated frenzy of varied artists painting, scraping and splattering colourful canvases, while you and the crowd circulate around them, begins. At the end of each 20-minute round, you vote for your favourite, and the winners go on to compete in the final. (All finished paintings are put up for silent auction in the night. Winners also get a chance to compete for the Art Battle Canada national title.)

Tickets $15 Earlybird Online | $20 General Admission | $10 Student with ID
