Joseph with William Wild

Collective Concerts and Indie 88 present Joseph with William Wild
Tuesday, October 25, 2016
in The Great Hall’s Main Hall

Joseph was formed when Natalie Closner, who had been pursuing a solo singer-songwriter career, recruited her younger twin sisters Meegan and Allison to join her on vocals for a new project. They chose their name as a tribute to the town of Joseph, Oregon and their grandfather Jo. But it takes more than roots and family ties to write, record and perform the songs you’ll hear on Joseph’s statement sophomore album I’m Alone, No You’re Not. They stretch beyond their folk influences to incorporate rock and pop, mixing punchy anthems, sweeping ballads and their sister act of tight and captivating harmonies. Yes, they sing together beautifully, but, from the hit “White Flag” to “Blood and Tears,” these are also powerful songs about real life, well lived.

William Wild is the musician moniker for alternative singer-songwriter Garrett Sale. Hazy guitars, dusty keys, and blurry pedal steel illuminate the recordings of weighty songs immersed in loss, fear of failure, and the worthiness of human existence on his new EP Steady Now.

Tickets $16.50 online, also available at Rotate This and Soundscapes.
